The ‘old’ Philips Wake-up Light always woke me like a regular alarm clock: instantly. Another problem was that the buttons used to set the (alarm &) time made a lot of noise, so you’d wake your already deeply asleep partner.

The new Philips Wake-up Light looks promising: slick design and is has an iPhone dock for the heavy sleepers. Furthermore it comes with 20 brightness settings.

“Can go up to nine feet (3 meters) underwater for up to 30 minutes.”

Use it in case you want to lure your pool fish with mesmerizing sounds (or stun them with heavy metal).
